This workshop will provide some basic skills for using Logic Pro and Ableton Live, as well as working with a multi-channel audio interface to record in Ableton. For the recording portion of the skill share you’ll record yourselves in the studio. The audio interface you’ll be using is a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8.

What to Bring

  • Eats/Drinks: BYO a snack to eat and pass around, please! Chips, fruits, veggies, etc. BYO drinks of all sorts, esp for jamming at the end /if the spirit moves you
  • Equipment: If you can, bring a laptop with Logic Pro and/or Ableton Live. Trial version of Ableton Live can be downloaded here. Logic Pro: it’s kind of an advanced version of Garage Band, so you can start there, if you’ve got a Mac.

This workshop will be led by queer feminist skill share members with basic to intermediate skills. They are:

  • Meg Anderson: Basics of Logic Pro
  • Ari Lacenski: Basics of Ableton Live
