Event Details

This show will feature LGBTQ people living in the SF Bay Area who are applying for or who already received political asylum in the U.S. because of their gender identity or sexual orientation. Performers will share with the audience stories from their experiences through the process of deciding to leave home and seek safe haven in the “Gay Mecca,” and what they found when they got here.

Alexander Yermoshkin (Russia), Alice Sobze (Cameroon), T. Garza (Mexico), and Juan Ariza Aguilar (Peru) will share stories from their experiences as LGBTQ political asylum-seekers in the SF Bay Area.

This show is part of the National Queer Arts Festival.
