Event Details

LitUp Writers presents Labor Pains: Stories of Work and Woe, a collection of humorous first person essays about employment.

From the application process to the exit interview with a healthy dose of dysphoria in between, these essays are performed by some of the hottest Bay Area writers.

With the economy teetering on the brink of financial ruin and the national terrorist alert set at a permanent shade of swine flu, LitUp Writers celebrates the power of laughter to help us cope with the uncertainties and absurdities of modern life.

The storytellers for the evening will be:

  • Liz Farsaci
  • Graham Gremore
  • Jennifer Lou
  • Stacy Marie Lyons
  • Nina Tamburello
  • Kevin Wofsy
  • Eleanor Hicks — the MC
  • Rochael Soper — the DJ
