In honor of Halloween (and the Day of the Dead), take a guided tour of some of the tombs of the Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in San Francisco with docent Michael Svanevik on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
The tours change every year, and the 2014 focus is on Northern California’s Fortune Builders. Expect to see private mausoleums from the likes of the Hearst and Flood families, massive marble angels, strange sarcophaguses (above ground tombs), and more.
Tours start at 1:30 pm the Noble Chapel located on the East Gardens of Cypress Lawn left past Cypress Lawn’s 120 year old Archway.
