Vegan Store Opening Party: Wacky Talent Show, BYOB & Spelling Bee | Berkeley

Play some fun vegan-themed games, win prizes, enjoy tastings and promotions as The Republic of V, a new vegan boutique in Berkeley, co-hosts a party with their neighbor The Monkey House.

The venue is BYOB and they will have sampling tables and host the following events from 3-9 pm:

• ”Hey, what’s that in my mouth?” blindfold competition. They promise not to go all Fear Factor on you – vegan foods only.
• Animals and vegan team trivia competition. Trivia competition with questions about animals, veganism and its intersection with pop culture. Teams of four or more. No team? No worries -they can add you to a team.
• Insane food and chemical ingredients spelling bee. An old school spelling bee with a twist.
• Vegan gong show. They’re not sure they can pull this off unless they get folks to come forward to share their special wacky talent or skill and with a willingness to be gonged.
•  No Worries the Vegan Filipino truck will be there.

The Republic of V welcomes within its borders vegans, vegetarians, animal lovers and anyone else interested in a diet and lifestyle that reduces animal suffering, environmental devastation and improves the lot of humanity.
