Join RethinkWaste on October 27, 2019 for Rethink Recycling Day. Find out how recycling can be more than using the blue cart. This event will be held rain or shine.

This free event includes:

• Clothing Swap: Been meaning to clean out your closet? Bring your clothes to swap and take home your favorites
• Food Preserving Workshops: Two workshops led by experts on pickling and freezer jam
• Fix-it Clinic: Have broken items that you’re not sure what to do with? Check out our fix-it clinic area to learn how to repair broken items instead of buying new ones
• Community Partners: Chat with local organizations that share our passion for sustainability and learn how you can make a difference too
• Raffle: Have a chance to win eco-friendly prizes, limit one prize per household
• Free Compost: Pre-bagged compost from our Shoreway facility available to take for a home garden
• Snacks and Refreshments: Light snacks and refreshments will be provided
