Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

ROTC is on Christmas Night. Slice is bringing the eggnog, You buy the rum. The door is Free. Live Hip Hop, with Kevvy Kev and the Gemstone Band, and freestyle emcees with plenty of fire for your yule log.

To celebrate the holidays we are holding a very special event. “Shoot The Gift” will be a crossover between a secret santa gift exchange and a Rap Compliment Battle – in the holiday spirit, rappers boast up the positive qualities of their opponents. Each emccee brings a gift to exchange with the other at the end of the match.
