Return of the Cypher (ROTC) is free live Hip-Hop show every Sunday at the Boom Boom Room that features an ever-changing lineup of artists and improvised sessions (know as “cyphers”) where beatboxers, emcees, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of soulful skill.

If you don’t have work on Monday, this is a great excuse to check out this weekly Sunday night tradition, A free Hip Hop, Beatbox and Rap jam at Boom Boom Room.

September 6, 2015 will be emceed by Equipto (best known for his Horns and Halos series with fellow rapper Andre Nickatina) and The People’s Tree.

Each Sunday at the Boom Boom Room, some of the Bay’s best local emcees, dancers, beatboxers, and musicians collaborate in a spontaneous combustion of raw talent. It’s called Return of the Cypher – ROTC, and true Hip Hop heads are advised not to miss out on this free party.

The legendary DJ Kevvy Kev and The Gemstone Band provide beats and live grooves for each session. Plus vocals by the amazing Jenna Medina.
