There have been quite a few acoustic singer/songwriters since the 1960s. We can all agree we’re sort of sick of them. But Trevor Hall might be the exception.
His smooth, yet chunky acoustic sound is just as soothing as it is energizing. His music is a mix of reggae, acoustic rock and Sanskrit chanting and his voice is the kind of thing that’ll melt more than just the ladies’ hearts (yeah guys, he’ll melt your hearts too). His new album Kala isn’t full of the usual flighty love songs. He probes the meaning of life, time and our purpose on the earth. Tall order for an acoustic album.
