Everything is getting taken over by robots these days, so why not your cocktails, too? Robot builders from all over the Bay Area vie for $2,000 in prices to create the best pulsing, apocalyptic juggernaut of booze and steel.

Cocktail Robotics Grand Challenge
Sunday, September 14, 2014 | 5 pm to midnight
DNA Lounge, 375 Eleventh St.Spectators and Victims:
$10 advance; $12 day of show. Admission includes two robot drink chips to spend at any cocktail robot. Additional drink chips will be available for $5 each. Human attendees must be 21 or older.
The Robot Contestants
- The Cocktail Engine: making drinks with punch cards
- Cosmobot: Shaped like a 1950s style rocket ship, this drinkbot makes cosmos, cape cods and kamikazes.
- Bar-Letta Bot: Serving Saturns at breakneck speed
- P.I.D.: A Predator-class intoxicant drone
- N. E. BREE-8: Three Laws Compliant
- Tikibot: Making the original Trader Vic Mai Tai
- The Manhattan Project: An explosive combination
- Divino: The miracle of transmogrification
- Bartendro: Smartphone-driven
- P.A.C. 2.0: A robotic Tupac Shakur tribute
- Karen: A dirty girl
- Tipsy Train: LEGO of your inhibitions
- DrawerBot92: Driven by a library card catalog
- Drawn Reciprocation Dingle Arm: Not your grandma’s Armatron
