Event Details

Street closure in Santa Rosa. Machines are taking over!

Come see a special performance as man-made mechanical wonders from local SURVIVAL RESEARCH LABORATORIES wield their power in the street in this FREE public event.

Founder Mark Pauline describes the event as, “In an explosion of ungovernable rage, Machines and Robots from Survival Research Labs stage a mechanical street seizure!”

Survival Research Laboratories is an organization of creative technicians dedicated to re-directing the techniques, tools, and tenets of industry, science, and the military away from their typical manifestations in practicality, product or warfare. Since 1979, SRL has staged over 45 mechanized presentations in the US and Europe.

MUSEUM EXHIBIT: Also, there’s a Museum members-only special preview of the new Mad Science: Experiments in Kinetic and Robotic Art exhibit from 3-5 pm. On any other day it’d be just $5 to get in the museum. By the way in case you have a membership to the DeYoung, the Legion of Honor or the Asian Art Museum, it’s just like you’re a member here.

Public transportation: From San Francisco you can take the Golden Gate Transit bus 101 and get off at Second St & B Street in Santa Rosa.
