2019 Small Business Week: Free Workshops & Networking | SF

Small businesses and retailers are a big part of San Francisco’s identity, helping shape neighborhoods while boosting local economy. Now, there’s help.

Small Business Week (May 6-11, 2019) offers local business owners free workshops and seminars on topics including finance, green business, marketing, technology, self-employment and more. There are also several networking mixers, plus a fun day of markets and sidewalk sales.

Join the Sacramento Street Merchants for an outdoor market and sidewalk sale from Broderick to Spruce Streets from 10 am to 6 pm on May 18, 2013.

Good Life Juicery will have a pop-up stand with free samples of hand-crafted, cold-pressed juices outside of Skin Remedy on the sidewalk, all day beginning at 10 am.

Magician Robert Strong and French inspired mime Desmond Ellington will stroll the corridor to delight and entertain.

There will be free parking at UCSF – Laurel Heights parking lot is located at California Street and Walnut Street.

2013 Entertainment and Special Events

  • Noon to 2 pmAcoustic Bistro at Osteria Cocina featuring homemade lasagna buffet for lunch and El Tonayense Taco Truck will also on site.
  • 1-2 pm: Acoustic live music by Kif Bender, 13 year old singer and guitarist, at PREP
  • 1-5 pm: A Jazz Trio featuring Carl Hedder on bass, accompanied with piano and sax will be at Henry Bequelin. Sue Fisher King’s block will be rocking sales, live music and tasty treats.
  • 2-4 pm: Oliver from Twister entertainment will do whimsical children’s face painting and balloon critters at Dottie Doolittle. There will also be wine tasting.
  • 3-5 pm: Live music by Gaucho (Django-style gypsy jazz) at Poetica Art and Antiques on the Goodbyes’ block – Buttondown, Anyon (new), Kendall Wilkinson home, BOGA rugs, Monique Arnon, Rose’s Gift Gallery and the SF Women’s Artist Gallery will also be participating.
