The Lantern Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is the second most popular festival in China and Vietnam–widely known for mooncake and lanterns.

Given the drastic transformation of Oakland we’ve witnessed over the past decade, the community organizers of the festival really wanted to repurpose Clinton Park as a welcoming space for both long-time and newcomer residents with many cultural activities and food.

The Eastlake is home to indigenous and migrant communities from over forty countries. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and good spirits.
