It’s nearing the end or migration, but I’ve been seeing a ton of hawks lately, and I heard and saw a Barn Owl last night flying right over the Excelsior. There’s a slight chance of rain late in the day Saturday, but that should not affect us at all.
Here’s some details about this week’s Eagle Watch:
Bird Count October (Eagle Watch)
10/22/22 8am-11am
Open to Everyone!
Contact me for specific directions. About 20 minutes from San Francisco. jamesalushnature@gmail.com
We will Forest Bird in a low, thick riparian area for about 40 minutes along a 1-mile, easy loop. Then we will perform an actual one-hour Hawk Watch from a clearing on the hilltop! We will end the watch at 10:45am, since we will only be 10 minutes from our cars.
Sign up? Please go to Eventbrite and type in “Bird Count”. Bird Count with LushNature will pop up. Read our compelling event description.
