Help Sports Basement and Beer Mile World record holder James “the Beast” Nielsen launch the Beer Mile World Classic and the first ever US Beer Mile National Team.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
The Beast will be at Sports Basement to lead a scenic run across the Golden Gate Bridge. The run is open to runners of all levels. Free ice cold beer will be available for adults over the age of 21.
What is the “Beer Mile” – it’s a race where every 1/4 mile you drink a pint of beer – 4 beers, 1 mile, hence the “beer mile” and it’s been featured on ESPN so it’s technically a “sport.”

Show up and you will be eligible for discounted Beer Mile World Classic entries, and insight into the US Team that will be challenged by national teams from Australia and Canada. The “Classic” is scheduled for August 22nd at Treasure Island.
