Get back to school with a fully-supplied backpack, and enjoy a resource fair and workshop for parents, free BBQ and entertainment, plus soccer activities and a mobile library for the kids on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Garfield Square.
The child must be present and the parents must participate in the workshops in order to get the backpack. This event is a courtesy of Mayor Ed Lee, Mission Promise Neighborhood, MEDA, Target, Recology, United Way of the Bay Area, and SF Rec and Park.
