UC Berkeley astronomer Dan Werthimer will discuss new technologies for revolutionizing the scientific Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI). The SETI project uses radio telescopes from around the world to scan the sky for electromagnetic signals that could be indicative of intelligent life in space.

Dan Werthimer is Chief Scientist at the UC Berkeley SETI Research Center. He is also recipient of Wonderfest’s 2019 Carl Sagan Prize for Science Popularization.
