Sea Change: Artist Reception | SOMA

Standing in the ocean holding light-sensitive paper in the break of a wave, Melissa Fleming makes visible the ever-present and continuously changing trace of the water and the sediment carried within.

Her work has been exhibited and collected internationally. Fleming’s art is included in the permanent collections of the University of Colorado at Boulder; the Museo de la Fotografia in Rafaela, Argentina; the James Hotel Corporation; the Federal Reserve Bank of New York; and numerous private collections.

Opening reception Fri, Nov 4, 6-8pm; exhibit runs through Dec 4, 2011.
