Event Details

On this special Thinkwalk, rather than a lot of discussion, we’ll tromp across the landscape for some distance with just three or four stops for quick presentations about the hidden water of SF.

This walk is part of the new Thinkwalks monthly series (first weekend of each month) presenting free events focused on creeks. We’ll explore watersheds and visit little-known locations of running springs, creeks and lakes. The events will often include some bush-whacking and up to five miles of walking with less stopping than we do on the usual discussion-intensive Thinkwalks. Dress for adventure.

Today’s walk will visit three creek watersheds that surround the northern section of Twin Peaks. Yes, we’ll be going up and over Twin Peaks, so be prepared for hills. We’ll see artificial springs, flowing year-round natural springs, hidden ponds and yet more (most secret) waterways that require passwords.

Rain doesn’t necessarily cancel.
