2013 Greater Good Food Film Festival | SF
The Greater Good Food Film Festival features eight nights of documentary film and discussion that will address different food system related topics, ranging from the health of soil and bees to the role of policy from October 9-24, 2013.
Some films will be followed with speakers and discussions lead by experts in the field. Local food vendors will offer food at certain events as well.
Make sure to also check out the Greater Good Food Fair on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in Civic Center Plaza.
Oscar-nominated director Markus Imhoof tackles the vexing issue of why bees, worldwide, are facing extinction in More Than Honey.
Post-Screening Speakers:
- Karen Peteros of the San Francisco Bee Cause whose mission is to “use urban beekeeping within San Francisco, and products from urban beekeeping as means to further “causes” that benefit San Francisco’s human and bee residents.”
- Paul Koski from the San Francisco Beekeeper Association which was “established in 1976 and has continued to teach and promote responsible urban beekeeping.”
