Event Details

The past year has been challenging for children and their families. A year of distance learning has widened education achievement gaps, created a mental health crisis for students, and provoked the largest year-to-year drop in enrollment in the San Francisco Unified School District in a decade. In addition, the delay in safely reopening public schools is causing the school district to lose out on millions of dollars from the State.

These are some of the issues that public school parents, Autumn Looijen and Siva Raj, saw as enough reason to pursue a recall effort for three SF School Board Commissioners: President Gabriela López, Vice President Alison Collins and Commissioner Faauuga Moliga.

Join us Thursday, May 6th at 7:00 pm to hear more from Autumn Looijen and Siva Raj about why they started this effort and answer your questions.

TogetherSF does not take political positions. We believe it’s important to provide San Franciscans with access to information for educational purposes on this and other topics.
