SF Porchfest 2025: Free Concert Fest on Porches, Stoops & Parklets (The Mission)

SF Porchfest Gears up for Year 7 

We are excited to announce that on Saturday, June 7th, from 12-6 pm, SF  Porchfest will return to San Francisco’s Mission District for a seventh year. An afternoon of music on the porches, parklets, and stoops of the Mission, SF Porchfest can be summed up with the tagline: ALL GENRES, ALL AGES, ALL FREE. 

Founded in 2015, our goal has always been to bring the community together for  an afternoon of music and fun. Porchfest is a day to feel good about our city and  our neighbors, to celebrate the creativity and rich diversity of the city we all  love. It’s a day to talk with people you don’t yet know. Everyone is welcome to  participate, whether as performing artists, porch hosts, volunteers, or members  of a roving audience. We hope that SF Porchfest can continue to be a catalyst for  community-building going forward. 

Porchfest has happened in many cities and towns across America, originating in  2007 in Ithaca, NY. SF Porchfest was held in 2015, 2016, and 2017, eventually  hosting more than 100 bands on 28 porches! We took a break and then Covid  happened. As the world began to open up, we brought back a much smaller  version in 2022, 2023 and 2024. The smaller size and close proximity of the  venues allowed for a more navigable event with enthusiastic (but very  manageable) crowds for each act. Musicians and venues were happy with  turnout, full tip jars, and brisk business. 

This year, we are happy to host some familiar faces with bands like Magic Nostalgia, Somebunny Else, and The Fricks, while also welcoming young musicians like Pablo Blanc, Mae Powell, and 945 The Band. With 13 venues and more than 70 bands, SF Porchfest year 7 is ready for you. So bring your bikes, scooters, and dancing feet to the streets for a beautiful day of live music! There is a cultural richness and joy in music, and it brings people together. That’s what Porchfest is all  about. We are hoping you’ll get out, enjoy some live music and meet your neighbors on June 7th. Don’t forget to join us on Friday June 6th, 7-9pm, for our Kick-Off party at Arcana!
