“SF Porchfest 2026” 90+ Bands: Music on Every Porch (The Mission)

SF Porchfest Gears up for Year 8

We are excited to announce that on Saturday, May 30th, from 12-6 pm, SF

Porchfest will return to San Francisco’s Mission District for an eighth year. Anafternoon of music on the porches, parklets, and stoops of the Mission, SFPorchfest can be summed up with the tagline: ALL GENRES, ALL AGES, ALL FREE.

Beginning in 2015, our goal has always been to bring the community together for an afternoon of music and fun. Porchfest is a day to feel good about our city and our neighbors, to celebrate the creativity and rich diversity of the city we all love. It’s a day to talk with people you don’t yet know. Everyone is welcome to participate, whether as performing artists, porch hosts, volunteers, or members of a roving audience. We hope that SF Porchfest can continue to be a catalyst for community-building going forward.

Porchfest has happened in many cities and towns across America, originatingin 2007 in Ithaca, NY. Founded in 2015 by Liz Pittinos and Beth Gould, SF Porchfest grew to eventually more than 100 bands on 28 porches! Beginning in 2022, we brought back a more compact version. The proximity of the venues allows for a more navigable event with enthusiastic crowds for each act.

Musicians and venues are happy with turnout, full tip jars, and brisk business. This year, we are delighted to host some familiar faces with bands like Hollyfrancis, Rumbahia, and Los Jefes, while also welcoming musicians such as Top Chefs, The Hummingbirds, and sunkissed. With 18 venues and over 90 bands, SF Porchfest year 8 is ready for you! So bring your bikes, scooters, and dancing feet to the streets for a beautiful day of live music! There is a cultural richness and joy in music, and it brings people together. That’s what Porchfest is all about. We are hoping you’ll get out, enjoy some live music and meet your neighbors on May 30th. Don’t forget to join us on Friday May 29th, 7-11pm, for our Kick-Off party at The Hotel Utah! And, be sure to join us for our After Party at Arcana from 6-9 pm where DJ’s from Give Until Gone will keep us grooving.
