Farmers Markets have gone underground these days. This gathering of local professionals that don’t have the commercial kitchens required to qualify them for full-fledged farmers markets will give you a chance to taste their delicious wares that you can’t pick up anywhere else.
The fourth edition of the SF Underground Farmers Market (Friday, April 16, 2010) will be moving to SOMArts Cultural Center, an even bigger venue than in March in an effort to cut down on lines. There will be live music, food workshops and, of course, get your fill of home grown veggies, wild mushroom spreads, soups, cupcakes, sour kraut and more.
New for April 2010: There are tons of new vendors this time, including mmm butter ( hand churned bacon butter), Ben L. (American Kobe beef brisket), Genny M. (homemade mustard), as well as about 30 more (and that’s on top of all the vendors they’ve had before). Music by Debbie Neigher and others.
Workshops:
7 pm Seed Saving with Antonio Roman-Alcala
8 pm Home Made Sourdough with Danny from Sour Flour
9 pm Easy Home Brewing with Galen Krumel
