SFJAZZ Summerfest runs from June to October with weekly free concerts in both Stanford and in Union Square/Levi’s Plaza in San Francisco. This week in Stanford, a local treasure, vibraphonist Yancie Taylor and his hard-swinging Jazztet bring the fiery intensity and soulful balladry of the modern jazz legends into present day, with an eye to the future.

About SFJAZZ Summerfest: SFJAZZ Summerfest an annual series of free outdoor concerts – featuring dozens of events from June through October in parks and commercial centers throughout the Bay Area.  SFJAZZ Summerfest showcases local musicians in noon-time or late afternoon concerts all free and open to the public; displaying a wide array of styles – from straight-ahead jazz, to Latin rhythms, swing, blues and vocals.
