August 5th Rumbaché
August 19th Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers
August 26th Chris Cain Band

Rumbaché
August 5
Fusing salsa, timba and bomba style classics with fiery originals, Rumbaché has established themselves as one of the hottest Bay Area salsa bands. Under the leadership of percussionist Patricio Angulo, Rumbaché is the voice of youth for San Francisco’s salsa scene, igniting enthusiasm in dancers and musical connoisseurs alike.

Lavay Smith and her Red Hot Skillet Lickers
August 19
Lavay Smith is the matchless grande dame of the Bay Area swing scene. Her “lush vocal style recalling both Bessie Smith and Dinah Washington” (Los Angeles Times) mixed with air-tight jump blues, R&B, big band, and salsa grooves laid down by the Red Hot Skillet Lickers will make this a sizzling evening in Union Square

Chris Cain Band
August 26
Blues master and San Jose native Chris Cain has been wowing audiences all over the world with his soulful voice and incendiary guitar playing. One listen to Cain and his hard-hitting band, and you’ll know why the San Jose Mercury said, “more than anyone else, anywhere, Chris Cain represents the future of the blues.”
