SF’s 3rd Annual “Dia de los Muertos” Sunset Night Market + Block Party (2023)

Sunset Mercantile and Fonzie’s Artisanal Goods presents the third annual Dia de los Muertos in the Sunset on November 1, 2023 from 6-9pm on 37th Ave and Ortega.

Join us for a night full of food, music, dance, and celebration as we honor our loved ones through the joys of life as a community. Sign up to bring an ofrenda in memory.

We’ll have wonderful performances by Ballet Folklorico Mexico Vivo and our first ever Catrina & Catrino costume contest!

In between performances, shop traditional artisan goods and get some good eats from Latin food vendors. There will also be a photo booth, a live DJ, face painting, and more!

Watch the street transform into an evening of glittering lights, garlands, live music, and the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos as you help bring this popular community event to life.

• Ofrendas: Everybody is invited to set up an ofrenda to welcome and honor the deceased to the altar. Please arrive early to set up prior to the event (~5pm). – Ofrendas Sign Up List
• Folklorico Dancing: Witness the beautiful twirls and colorful outfits of our folklorico dancers as they weave a story through their magnificent performance. Performances will be at 7pm and 8pm.
• Other Activities: Sugar Skull Painting, Papel Picado, Traditional Artisan Goods for Sale, and plenty of food vendors like Semilla, El Fuego Mexican Cuisine, and many more!
