SF’s Easter Open House & Celebration of Spring (2025)

Back by popular demand! Join us at The Box Shop for a joyful, art-filled Easter celebration open to all ages.

• Easter Egg Hunts – We’ll host egg hunts for tiny tots, little ones, and big kids, too! The fun starts in the afternoon. Keep an eye out for candy hidden throughout the space, and don’t miss the Astroturf lawn just for the little ones.
• Easter Bunny + Seedling Giveaway (1–3 PM) The Easter Bunny will be hopping through from 1 to 3 p.m., handing out spring seedling gifts to inspire your garden creations.

• Potluck BBQ – Bring something to share! We’ll have the grill going—pack your favorite grillables and sides to contribute to a community-style lunch.
• Make Art – Join San Francisco artist Alejandra Rassvetaieff for hands-on art activities for kids and families. Our Easter-themed art table will feature egg painting and a special protractor project—create your own geometric string designs on plastic discs!
• Explore 130+ Murals – Take in the vibrant colors of more than 130 murals painted by local artists throughout our open-air space—The Box Shop is one of the Bay Area’s largest outdoor mural exhibitions!
• Stroll the Sculpture & Succulent Garden – Wander through our magical sculpture garden, where art and nature come together in full bloom.
• Meet the Makers – Get a behind-the-scenes look at our artist studios and ask questions! The Box Shop is home to metalworkers, painters, seamstresses, bicycle engineers, sculptors, and more.
• See Where Massive Art Is Made – The Box Shop is a creative hub for large-scale public art, and Burning Man builds, including Entwined Meadow (Golden Gate Park, 2020–2024). Come check out where the magic begins!
