Thanks to SFist for letting us know that the famed “Creme Brulee Cart” (one of SF’s most popular early mobile food cart/trucks where people would follow him on twitter showing up in droves wherever he went) has come out of retirement to serve up hundreds of pancakes.
Curtis Kimbrall, who shut down is Creme Brulee Cart in 2016, held a pancake party on January 22 and is now holding another big pancake feed on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 9am to 11am for neighbors in The Mission on Alabama between Cesar Chavez and Precita.
Last time he made chocolate chip pancakes (made with Guittard Chocolate) and fed 75 people making 125 pancakes. This time he says there’ll be blueberries, chocolate chips, maple syrup, salted caramel sauce, whipped cream and more.

San Francisco is in a bad way. Vibes are all effed up. I can’t do much to solve the problems here, but I can make pancakes. So I hung up fliers all over the neighborhood and made pancakes. Over 75 people came and over 125 pancakes were eaten. Here’s what I learned: 👇 pic.twitter.com/EnGKW8tL7g
