Event Details

Celebrate the first day of Kwanzaa (Umoja, meaning “unity”) with Family Game Day. Brother Clint and Brother Malik perform the Kwanzaa ritual, pour libations, honor our ancestors and light the 1st candle of the kinara, Umoja. Refreshments, food and a variety of family friendly games follow.

This is a partnership with The Village Project and their San Francisco Annual Kwanzaa Celebration, with seven days of community events striving to unite and strengthen the family, community and nation, by highlighting each of the seven principles of Kwanzaa (the Nguzo Saba). Registration is required.

Presented by San Francisco Public Library
