La Cruzada Guadalupana Pilgrimage
Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023: La Cruzada Guadalupana Pilgrimage is a yearly event that starts at 6am at All Souls, 315 Walnut Ave, South San Francisco, and proceeds through San Francisco to St. Mary’s Cathedral. Gather at 5am. The procession will begin at 6 a.m. and is anticipated to reach the San Francisco border with Daly City between 9 and 9:45 a.m. It will then proceed via Mission Street, 14th Street, South Van Ness, Ellis Street, and Gough Street to Geary.
The procession will make one stop mid route at the Parish Church of St. John the Evangelist at Mission Street and St Mary’s Avenue. Approximately 30,000 people, 25 horses, and 18 vehicles (includes sound trucks, floats, Red Cross vans, Radio La Raza trucks, water and supply trucks) will be a part of this procession.
The following Muni routes will be impacted: 14 Mission, 14R Mission Rapid, 33 Ashbury/18th and 49 Van Ness/Mission. Streets along the procession route may also be congested which could impact additional Muni bus service in the area. SFPD officers and Parking Control Officers will monitor the march.
