Love your compost, love your soil, love your plants, love the planet!
In this FREE outdoor workshop presented by the Sunset Nature Advocacy Partnership (SNAP) — a collaboration between San Francisco environmental organizations Garden for the Environment, Nature in the City, and Sutro Stewards — you will learn to love compost and all its benefits!
Your instructor, Sharon Litzky, a 2021 graduate of Garden for the Environment’s Gardening and Composting Educator Training Program (Get Up!) and compost advocate, will teach you how to make compost at home, introduce you to worms that make their own special compost, give you tips on using your city compost bin, and so much more!
Come learn what you can do to improve your garden and its soil, prevent organic waste from going to the landfill, and help sequester climate-changing atmospheric carbon in the soil where it’s beneficial. You can do ALL of this when you make and use compost.
We’re excited to share the compost love with you so you can help nurture and protect our planet!
