Mayoral Inauguration

Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025: Mayor Lurie will be sworn in at an event in Civic Center Plaza and City Hall. The swearing-in activities in Civic Center will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The following street closures will be required:

From 6 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8

  • Grove Street between Polk and Larkin streets
From 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8
  • Dr Carlton B Goodlett Place between McAllister and Hayes streets
  • Grove Street between Van Ness Avenue and Polk Street
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8
  • Larkin Street between McAllister and Hayes streets
  • McAllister Street between Van Ness Avenue and Larkin Street
The following Muni routes will be impacted: 19 Polk, 21 Hayes, 27 Bryant
