Trash Mash-Up Gallery Reception
Bridget and Jessica McCracken
Saturday, February 4th at 4PM PT
Free of charge! Open to the public!

With trash bag boas and bottle-cap chain mail, Trash Mash-Up builds creative connections and raises environmental awareness throughout our community as a new urban tradition is fostered. Trash Mash-Up is a collaborative community art project.

Each year, talented fashion designers are paired up with some very special models – the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence – to create outstanding runway looks using recycled and innovative materials. Project Nunway challenges designers to create outrageous fashion based on a theme. The theme for this year is “Sanctuary”. TMU has designed for Sister Dana since 2013 and will be exhibiting a retrospective of their work with Nunway in CounterPulse’s TenderArts Gallery at 80.5 Turk Street.

ABOUT TRASH MASH-UP
The founding members of Trash Mash-Up are a sister team, Bridget and Jessica McCracken, who graduated from the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre and San Francisco State University. Drawing from their talent for creating original theatrical productions and their commitment to serving the larger community, TMU is a socially and environmentally conscious art project. Reducing waste by using trash to make art, TMU reminds all of San Francisco that one person’s trash could become an entire city’s treasure.
