2019 Architecture & the City Festival | SF

The 16th annual month-long celebration features behind the scenes and walking tours, films, exhibitions, lectures and more that address varying aspects of the design and planning process.

This years festival theme, “We the City”, aims to explore how cultural diversity and connectivity inspire and inform the built environment. From the Dogpatch to the Outer Sunset — San Francisco is a unique, diverse, and multi-generational mosaic.

Get away from work, computers, and projects for an hour. Bring your lunch and sketchbook and join them at Noon each Tuesday in different spaces in the city for one hour of sketching, inspiration and relaxation.

Free, but an RSVP is required through Eventbrite.

A simple and extremely effective concept thought up by Arterra Landscape Architects’ designer Alyssa Erickson, Sketchy Tuesday reminds us to incorporate a sense of play and whimsy to our everyday design process.

Don’t forget to tag your sketches with #sketchytuesday.
