Event Details

Slideluck returns to San Francisco to celebrate photography in it’s most accessible form, the Instagram feed. Come out to the reception at Heron Arts on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

The event is free with an RSVP, and be sure to bring a dish to share. Their panel of secret judges will be awarding some envy-inducing prizes to the most hardworking chefs.

From selfies to serious reportage, it would be difficult to find someone who has not used their mobile device to take a photo.  On the fourth birthday of SF-based Instagram, Slideluck acknowledges this shift in visual consciousness by devoting a slideshow to a wide-ranging survey of the most interesting photography being produced for their platform today, curated by Patrick Witty, Director of Photography at Wired.

7 pm Potluck.  9 pm Slideshow. 10:30 pm Afterparty.

They’re also partnering with Uber to provide new Uber users a free ride (up to $30) to or from Slideluck at Heron Arts.  Returning customers also receive 10% off.

Slideluck is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to building and strengthening community through food and art. Since 2000, Slideluck has hosted multimedia slideshows combined with potluck dinners in over seventy five cities around the world.
