Event Details

When the partial Solar Eclipse hits this Thursday, where will you be? Probably bummed that you didn’t prepare your proper solar eyewear to get a good look.

Here’s a better idea: swing by City College of San Francisco’s Phelan Campus, where our Astronomy Department faculty will be in Ram Plaza (located just next to their Wellness Center), outfitted with solar lens equipped telescopes for prime viewing. Come scope this awesome celestial phenomenon with professional-grade equipment under the guidance of experts, completely free for both students and the public.

It’s easy to take public transport to our campus: Get off at Balboa BART, walk west on Ocean Ave until you see our Wellness Center. Head up the stairs through the building and you’re there.
