Kishi Bashi is the pseudonym of singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Kaoru Ishibashi. His new album Omoiyari is set to be released on May 31st 2019. In this album he embarks on a personal quest by creating his music in locations relevant to the Japanese American Incarceration.

It is on this journey in which Kishi Bashi comes to terms with his own identity and uncovers a myriad of social issues that have gripping modern relevance. ‘Omoiyari’ is a genre-breaking, an artistic exploration that fuses history, art, and the complexities of the human condition. He’ll be having an intimate album release show on June 12 at August Hall.
