Check out this free art show in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood featuring various vibrant acrylic paintings. Rachel Williams paints female-centric art that focuses on the strength and empowerment of women, specifically the empowerment of black women.

Society continually creates a narrative that a woman’s sexuality equates with her worth and intelligence. I believe this is wrong. My art works to celebrate women, specifically black women. I emphasize the female body as a way to reclaim it as both a metaphorical and physical form of femininity and strength. I typically use bright vibrant colors.
