“Solid” Gold Asian Art Museum 50th Anniversary Celebration | SF

In honor of the Asian Art Museum’s 50th birthday, they’re channeling the camp-tastic ’80s TV hit “Solid Gold” with an epic party — and cranking the glitz factor up to an 11.

Some of the Bay Area’s best dancers, decked out in gold, will thrill you with iconic choreography spanning time and cultures — including the Ladies of AsiaSF, Disco Energi, Non Stop Bhangra, Mix’d Ingrdnts, Jay Loyola Dance and more.

Don’t be outdone: Show up in golden garments from your favorite fashion decade of the last 50 years, and get ready to bust a move to music spun by DJ Umami and Proof (aka Marky Enriquez), whose signature sound heats up the dance floor. Disco, boogie, vogue, shimmy, twist, jump around, whip nae nae … Whatever your pleasure, you can dance the night away while surrounded by 6,000 years of art.
