Event Details

Join them as they tour the neighborhood that’s experienced more change than any other in San Francisco – South of Market. Come ready to discover a variety of landmarks including the birthplace of one of America’s most famous novelists, the former headquarters of a mega-successful entertainment magazine, and the house of “California’s Cattle King” in the neighborhood whose identity is constantly morphing.

This walkabout will support Friends of the Urban Forest, which helps individuals and neighborhood groups in SF plant and care for street trees and sidewalk gardens to promote a larger, healthier urban forest. All donations collected on this tour will go directly to this awesome organization.

The tour will begin promptly at 10:30 am at Philz Coffee (300 Folsom St.). Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so that they don’t leave without you.
