Join in for a special conversation with Council Member Karyl Matsumoto, who will share her personal experience at Manzanar. Day of Remembrance commemorates the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II and serves as an important reminder of the precious nature of your civil liberties.

Councilmember Matsumoto was first elected to the City Council in November 1997 and has lived in South San Francisco for 35 years. She has served on or been a member of over 30 civic and nonprofit boards, commissions and committees.
