“Evermore” Spooky & Funny Edgar Allen Poe Staged Play Reading | Marin

On Halloween weekend come enjoy a free staged reading of “Evermore,” a smart, funny, dark and dramatic exploration of the real life – and stormy – relationship between Edgar Allan Poe and his editor, Dr. Rufus Wilmot Griswold, as well as Poe’s relationships with his wife, Virginia (Sissy), and his mother-in-law, Mariah (Muddy).

“Evermore” is written by Gary Wright, directed by Cris Cassell. The play includes readings from Poe’s The Raven and The Telltale Heart, and his poem, Annabel Lee.

There will be two performances: October 31 and November 1, 2015 at 8 pm, with talks with the playwright both nights.
