One of the Bay Area’s most unique Independence Day celebrations will be on July 3, 2019 on the SS Red Oak Victory with glorious views of the Bay from Richmond’s historic waterfront, the town that helped win the war.
The ship will be open from 6 pm to 10 pm, and serve dinner and drinks. To help set the mood, Richmond’s own George Cole and his trio will play live classic jazz and swing from the 40s to the 60s and, of course, viewing of the Richmond City fireworks display from the best seats in the house aboard the Red Oak Victory Historic Ship.
On top of that, you can tour the ship including the bridge, the Captain’s quarters, the radio room (with original radio), the galley and much more.
An RSVP is required.
The SS Red Oak Victory is the last surviving ship built in the Kaiser Richmond Shipyards during World War II launching on November 9, 1944
