“Course of the Force” 2013 | Star Wars Lightsaber Relay
Course of the Force is an Olympic-style torch relay, but with lightsabers.
The relay, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation, is part of a week-long Star Wars event that runs from San Francisco to down to the San Diego Comic Con.
Cheer the costumed runners on, starting at Pier 50, and then crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, and then join the party at “Conival” at Justin Herman Plaza on July 10, 2013, where the relay will pause so that fans can participate in mini conventions with games, food, live music, expo booths, and more.

The relay starts at Pier 50 at 8:30 am and will reach the Golden Gate Bridge around 11 am.
We aren’t sure who the characters will be this year, but you might get a chance to see Chewbacca handing off the lightsaber to an Ewok, to Boba Fett, to a Stormtrooper to Leia in a gold bikini.
