Stern Grove Festival’s 87th season of admission-free concerts kicks off on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Concerts take place every Sunday at 2 pm from June 23 to August 24.

And new for this year, Stern Grove Festival hosts its first-ever two-day farewell fundraiser “The Big Picnic” on Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25, 2024 to close out the season.

Free RSVPs open for the first concert on May 23, 2024 at 2pm – you can reserve up to 4 spots. RSVPs open up one month in advance of each concert. Check Eventbrite to see when they start posting RSVP links. And we recommend acting quickly. Don’t miss a summer classic when San Francisco Symphony returns with featured vocalist Shara Worden, the haunting voice behind indie-rock band My Brightest Diamond. The afternoon’s program explores the connection between orchestral music and the beauty of nature.

Ms. Worden will be performing songs from My Brightest Diamond for orchestra, as well as selections from the new release, Unremembered, by composer Sarah Kirkland Snider.

The program also includes Korngold’s The Adventures of Robin Hood Suite, Act II of Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel featuring soprano Julie Adams and mezzo-soprano Renée Rapier, and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 8 in G major, Op. 88.

Artist Talk at the Trocadero Clubhouse at 12 noon with Shara Worden, Edwin Outwater and San Francisco Symphony Artistic Administrator Richard Lonsdorf.
