Event Details

Join us for the 2nd installment of Storytime Sundays at On Waverly on Sunday, 11/3, featuring 3 incredible AAPI children’s book authors: Charlotte Cheng, Eugenia Yoh, and Margaret Greanias! Little ones will get a chance to get read excerpts from 3 books, receive their own “storytime passport” that they can use to collect signatures from authors, and do fun crafts inspired by the stories. Don’t miss this special event that fosters a love for books, culture, and community!
About the authors:
Charlotte Cheng has written and illustrated a variety of books including Roar-Choo!, Night Market Rescue, I Miss You Most, and BoBo Loves Dumplings. With over 20 years of EdTech experience, Charlotte has also written and published K-12 curriculum for a variety of companies including CodeCombat, Disney, and Wonder Workshop. You can learn more about Charlotte’s work at: www.charlotte.art.
Eugenia Yoh is a Taiwanese-American author-illustrator in the Bay Area. She is a children’s book designer at Chronicle Books during the day and a children’s book illustrator during the night. During the night she also turns into a tiny orange, but usually nobody is around to see that happen. She enjoys soup, Japanese fiction novels, and being competitive in bananagrams. Her first picture book, This Is Not My Home, came out last year. See more of her work at eugeniayoh.com
Margaret Greanias is a children’s book author who writes books to delight children, including MAXIMILLIAN VILLAINOUS (Running Press Kids, 2018), AMAH FARAWAY (Bloomsbury Kids, 2022), HOOKED ON BOOKS (Peachtree Publishing, 2023), and HOW THIS BOOK GOT RED (Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, 2023). The daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, three children, and a fluffle of dust bunnies.
