Event Details

Delle Maxwell, from the San Mateo and San Francisco Counties Master Gardeners program, will present a brief overview of the natural history of succulents, discuss succulent care and culture, including soils, pots, watering, and light and introduce plants that do well in different Bay Area microclimates.Delle has been a Master Gardener since 2014, also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Gardens of Golden Gate Park and has been a volunteer for 22 years at the San Francisco Botanical Garden. She is also a member of the California Native Plant Society.

Small succulent gardens in pots will be on display to show how arrangements can be made. Succulent cuttings will be available as “handouts” after the talk.
