Enjoy a summer picnic evening in Coyote Valley with the Santa Clara Open Space Authority, Discover Coyote Valley & WERC (Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center) on Saturday, July 12, 2014.

Come and see some rehabilitated and rescued hawks, falcons and owls, and even a confused woodpecker. The late afternoon will start with a bird presentation meet and greet with live birds of prey which you get to see up close and learn all about. There will be a hike to see the local, wild birds of prey. End the night with a community picnic while learning more about the Coyote Valley.

Summer Picnic & Hike Schedule

  • 4 pm: See rehabilitated birds of prey up close with W.E.R.C.
  • 5 pm: Hike around the Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve in the late after noon, a perfect time for birding.
  • 7 pm: Enjoy an evening picnic and learn about the Coyote Valley.
