Sunday Assembly: Communty Sing & Meetup | Berkeley
Sunday Assembly is a non-religious congregation that celebrates life. They’ve got the best parts of a church – community, singing, and acts of service – without any of the religious dogma.
They typically meet on the third Sunday of the month to sing, think, listen, laugh, and build community together. They feature speakers from the local science and humanities communities, and they typically offer a way to donate to a local organization.
The Sunday Assembly is a godless congregation started in 2012 by two comedians and performers in England. It is a growing global network of people with the motto to “Live Better. Help Often. Wonder More.”

On Sunday, March 16, 2014 you’ll hear from guest speaker Emiliana Simon-Thomas the science director of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, where she oversees the GGSC’s Expanding Gratitude project.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
Stay for the potluck following the meeting. Please being a dish to share and they’ll all linger longer and get to know each other.
In the spirit of helping often, we are supporting the East Bay nonprofit MISSSEY, which provides nurturing and support to sexually exploited minors. Please bring a care package of basic toiletries to be donated to MISSSEY. See the full wishlist.
